CERTIFICATES
NAMSS is invested in the future of the profession to serve our community of MSPs and stay current with evolving technological advancements. As part of these efforts, printed paper certificates will no longer be mailed to new and renewing CPCS® and CPMSM® certificants.
You can still share your noteworthy accomplishments with your professional network! Credly, our digital badge platform, provides certificants with digital badges to add to their online profiles as well as a PDF certificate to share and print at your convenience. NAMSS Digital Badges
CPCS®, CPMSM® certifications, NAMSS Fellows, Hall of Fame, and Leadership Certificate honorees will be awarded digital badges to showcase their accomplishments. Launched in 2021, NAMSS digital badges address the growing need of our members to communicate their skills to a broader network and advocate for their position. Our Certification Programs
NAMSS credentialed professionals have met extensive training and experience requirements, and commit to NAMSS Certificant Code of Ethics that require them to safeguard the public and to promote quality patient care. That's why partnering with a NAMSS credentialed professional gives health care organizations confidence today and a more secure tomorrow.
NAMSS CPCS® and/or CPMSM® certifications are for individuals typically employed or contracted by a healthcare organization including, but not limited to, hospitals (health systems), health plans, ambulatory care settings, group practices and credentialing verification organizations. Over 2,500 organizations are employers of NAMSS credentialed professionals. They know that NAMSS credentialed professionals inspire confidence and satisfaction.
In fall 2025, NAMSS is launching the first exam for the Certified Provider Enrollment Specialist (CPES) credential. The CPES credential will be the first provider enrollment certification on the market and gives MSPs and those already practicing provider enrollment the opportunity to demonstrate their skills and knowledge of this topic. CPES certificants demonstrate competency and dedication to maintaining high standards in provider enrollment services, positioning themselves for career advancement and increased credibility in the industry.
NAMSS credentialed professionals hold the certifications recognized as the standard of excellence for medical service professionals. The National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) accredited both the CPCS® and CPMSM® certification programs. NAMSS has earned and maintained NCCA accreditation because we've continued to demonstrate that our certification programs are grounded in and meets legal testing requirements — as well as generally accepted certification standards.
