Anyone who has submitted a continuing education article that is published in e-Synergy is eligible for NAMSS approved CEs. The article must be a continuing education article that addresses an issue or topic covered in the certification examinations for the CPMSM or CPCS, and must be at least 1,500 words. The author must also include 10 True/False questions and answers that relate clearly and directly to the article’s content. Qualified articles should be sent to the e-Synergy editor. Request for CEs must be made in writing and accompany the article. Upon receipt of the article, it will be determined whether or not the article meets the criteria. If it does, it will be forwarded to the NAMSS Education Committee for eligibility confirmation and to determine the number of CEs to be awarded. A maximum of three CEs for each accepted article can be granted in this manner. Once eligibility has been confirmed, the committee will send a copy to the e-Synergy editor. The editor will notify the author of the article in writing of the number of CEs awarded. CEs will not be granted on a retroactive basis. If the article does not meet the criteria for awarding CEs, the editor will notify the author of the article in writing. CE articles appear in the order in which they are received, unless content is deemed time-sensitive by the editor.
